About Us

Kenny was born in San Diego and raised in La Mesa and El Cajon. He played little league in the Fletcher Hills area. At the age of 17 played in the “ Big League” division representing the “West” in Miami Florida in the 17-18 yr. old World Championships. He attended Grossmont  and Granite Hills High School, where he earned Most Valuable Player and the San Diego County All-Team award in his senior year.

He went on to play baseball at Grossmont JC where he earned Leading Hitter, and all Mission Conference honors. He then went on to play for the National City Collegians team that won the So. Cal championship where he was named MVP and received All-Southern California All- Star team honors.

Kenny  was signed  by George Genovese in 1975 by the San Francisco Giants. He spent 4 yrs. in their minor league system ending up in AAA Phoenix in the PCL before being sent to the Cleveland Indians in 1980 where he played for 2 1/2 seasons. In his first season with the Chattanooga Lookouts, he earned a trip to the Southern League All-Star game. He then went on to play for Charleston in the International League AAA, and in 1982 spring training, was assigned to the Buffalo Bisons AAA roster and spent a few days with Cleveland’s parent club.

Kenny has been a private Hitting instructor and high school baseball coach in Oklahoma for the past 3 years. He has been a hitting/infield instructor with “The Pro Swing” baseball camps in Temecula, Ca. for 21 yrs. Kenny spent his 2010 season as a Hitting/ Infield instructor at the college level with the San Diego Christian Hawks . He is now the  Hitting/ Infield  coach at Fallbrook High School in the San Diego area.
